Made from 16 gauge mild steel, these greaves have a hinged front and back plate with articulated plates for the calf (we got the idea from a suit made for Henry VIII) with hand rolled and countersunk borders, beveled edges and slot riveted articulation. Fully strapped they can be used with either of our leg harness. HAND MADE IN THE USA. These can be made in steel finish ( steel rivets and buckles rather than brass) at no extra charge, just specify when ordering. Also avaliable with ropped borders which became fashionable in the 16th century.
