As the ability to make plates that articulated (moved) with various parts of the body progressed in the 15th century, gorgets with moving neck lames became the norm. This gorget is constructed of mild steel with two 16 gauge main plates with articulating 18 gauge neck lames. Upper edge of top lame is hand roled and countersunk and the edges of the two plates below are beveled. Closed with two pins on either side of the neck plus a keyslot pin, the neck lames articlulate on leathers and slot rivets. Can be strapped for all our shoulder defenses. HAND MADE IN THE USA.
These can be made in steel finish ( steel rivets and buckles rather than brass) at no extra charge, just specify when ordering. Also avaliable with ropped borders which became fashionable in the 16th century.
