In use from the early 15th century through the 17th century, our pauldrons are made from 16 gauge mild steel with 18 gauge arm lames. Features hand rolled and counter sunk borders, historically accurate beveled articulating edges and slot riveting throughout with the exception of the front portion of the lower three lames. These three lames are on leathers in front to allow them to collapse like a telescope for full arm mobility in front( a feature we learned from the pauldron lames in our originals gallery). Pauldrons can be set up to accept besegues if desired. Comes strapped. HAND MADE IN THE USA.
These can be made in steel finish ( steel rivets and buckles rather than brass) at no extra charge, just specify when ordering. Also avaliable with ropped borders which became fashionable in the 16th century.
