Welcome to The Mercenary's Tailor Armoury. Located in Upstate New York we produce a large and constantly expanding line of munitions or off the rack armour and related items combining the needs of the modern user with constructional details that are as relevant to functional armour today as they were 500 years ago. We work from museum trips, a large reference library as well as an expanding collection of original pieces (see our period pieces gallery) to build our wares. All our armour is proudly made by us right here in the good 'ole USofA. A new wooden buckler with steel boss has just been added to our catalog. Also custom painting is now avaliable on our shields( please see our heater shield listing for an example of what can be done). New breast and back plates with faulds and tassets have been added as well as three piece tassets as an option for both the new B&B plates and our plackard. New as well is our late 14th century breast and back plates, period leather water bottles by Kevin Rossignol and a one off black round shield with steel reinforcing pieces.
