Late 16th-17th Century All Steel axe

This nice example of a late fighting axe is of all steel construction, with a small but thick blade to impart force to a swing and a nasty back spike which is sharpened for armour breaking. A very long belt hook typical of these later axes is present. The leather wrap on the grip may be a victorian re-do. There is what appears to be a faint makers mark on the axe blade.
