Late 17th Century Pillow Sword



This curious little sword is only 32 inches in overall length with a forged brass and horn hilt . The blade has a military sharpen (only the front/top half of the blade is sharp as that is where most cutting is done) and swells slightly from quillions to just before the point. Due to its diminuative size we've concluded that it fits into that familly of sword kept at the bedside in the later 17th and early 18th centuries for home defense called 'pillow swords'.
