17th Century Breastplate

This is a very nice example of a breast plate from the early 17th century. The boarders have been blued and the edges strongly rolled. The medial ridge and light residual peascoding are interesting. It had tassets at one point(small fragments of leather remian under the four rivets at the waist line where the belts to hold the tassets on would have been). This is a really nice piece overall with alot of attention to detail.
